Luke Combs reveals 13.6kg weight loss during elk hunting adventure

Luke Combs has revealed he's lost almost 14kg, and says a recent elk hunting trip was one of the biggest motivations behind his health journey.
Luke shared the update in a new hunting vlog for Leupold Optics while preparing for an elk hunt.
“I’ve been looking forward to this for a long time,” Luke said. “I’m down 30-lbs., since last time [he went elk hunting in 2024] - probably can’t tell since the camera adds 30-lbs. But I am down a little bit from last time.”
Luke said that while improving his health has always been the priority, preparing for physically demanding hunts helped give him extra motivation.
“Obviously getting healthy is the main goal, but this has been one of the big motivators for me was to come here,” he said. “You know, I got up and down with the guys in New Mexico enough to get by, [but] I just really wanted to be able to hold my own out here and not half-a-- anything. I want to earn it, right?”
Luke's efforts paid off, successfully tagging a mature bull elk during the trip.
The country superstar has previously spoken about wanting to improve his health for his growing family. Luke and wife Nicole Combs share three sons, Tex, Beau and Chet.
Speaking on The Zane Lowe Show in 2022, Luke said becoming a father changed the way he viewed his health and long-term future.
“This having a kid thing has really messed up my head on this thing in the best way,” he said. “I want to be around, dude.”
The singer has also discussed the challenges he's faced with weight management throughout his life, admitting it has been something he's worked on for years.
Now, with a 13.6kg weight-loss milestone behind him and another successful hunting adventure ticked off the list, Luke says his focus remains on staying healthy for the long haul.
