Triggar Happy has released his newest single Sundown! 

Sundown is a catchy, upbeat anthem made for chasing the last light of the day, and with equal parts pop-country charm and signature Triggar-twang, it’s the kind of song that feels like riding down the coast or heading home across the farm as the sun drops low.

The song centres around his relationship with his wife Cherie, reflecting on their journey together - from his life on the land to the leap into music, and the family they’ve built along the way with their two young kids.

Sundown is a feel-good song about Cherie and I. It’s about having your comfort person there at the end of the day - kicking off your boots, soaking it all in, and thinking, look how far we’ve come.

Sundown is another reminder that Triggar's music doesn’t come from chasing trends, but from chasing something far more powerful: connection, freedom, and the people who’ve been there through it all.

Triggar Happy is carving out his own lane in Aotearoa’s country-rock landscape - fearless, genuine, and fuelled by real-life experience. Raised in Ōtorohanga, Waikato, he spent years deep in the farming world, running six farms, building a life from the ground up, and eventually losing everything. Instead of staying down, he cashed it all in, walked away from the land, and bet everything on music.
