Raised in Ōtorohanga, Triggar Happy spent years farming sheep, beef and dairy across New Zealand and Australia before committing to music full-time.  Blending country, rock and hip hop country with plenty of working-class grit and attitude, 'Johnny Cash Outlaw' explores the moment when standing apart stops feeling like a disadvantage and becomes a reason to back yourself.

Triggar Happy is carving out his own lane in Aotearoa’s country-rock landscape - fearless, genuine, and fuelled by real-life experience. Raised in Ōtorohanga, Waikato, he spent years deep in the farming world, running six farms, building a life from the ground up, and eventually losing everything. Instead of staying down, he cashed it all in, walked away from the land, and bet everything on music.
