At first listen, Little Red Number might sound like a classic tale of betrayal, but TheWesternGuide has something much deeper to say.

Little Red Number is the latest taste of Povi Boy, TheWesternGuide's debut album due later this year (can't wait!), and offers another compelling glimpse into the stories he'll be sharing across the project.

It's another honest and thoughtful release from the West Auckland artist, exploring addiction and the hidden struggles that often come with it, telling a powerful story about the lengths someone will go to in order to conceal their addiction from the people they love.

Hailing from West Auckland, Samoan singer-songwriter TheWesternGuide is carving out a distinct path in Aotearoa’s evolving country scene, representing a new wave of artists redefining what the genre means to Kiwi listeners. He's fresh off a impressive summer including supporting Kaylee Bell on her national 2025 Cowboy Up tour, performing at Sweet Home Aotearoa, and stepping onto the stage at Australia’s CMC Rocks (making history as the first Samoan artist to do so) alongside artists like Jordan Davis, Old Dominion & Riley Green.
