Miranda Lambert serenades husband Brendan McLoughlin with new Choosin’ Texas lyrics

Miranda Lambert playfully serenaded her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, with new lyrics to Choosin’ Texas to celebrate his birthday.

Miranda shared a tribute to her husband on Instagram.

The final slide includes a clip of Brendan getting ready in front of a mirror while Miranda laughs and sings, “He’s in Vegas, I can tell by the way he wants to leave the room/ And judgin’ by the smile that written on his face, he’s got a lot to lose/ Oh no, it doesn’t take a crystal ball to see/ Brendan’s gonna gamble until he’s / Drinkin’ Jack all by himself/ He’s in Vegas I can tell.”

Miranda co-wrote the history-making single with singer Ella Langley, as well as Luke Dick and Joybeth Taylor. Her post celebrating Brendan’s birthday also includes a snapshot of her husband sitting by a pool, a photo of him fishing, a glimpse of him helping replace the laces in the country star’s shoes and more.

She wrote in her caption: “Happy Birthday [Brendan McLoughlin], 35 looks good on you! Well everything looks good on you but that smile is my favorite ! I love you!”

Miranda and Brendan met in November 2018. She and her band, Pistol Annies, were performing on Good Morning America while Brendan, a former New York City police officer, was working security.

The couple quietly tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on 26 January 2019 outside Nashville, Tennessee. The Kerosene artist revealed they had married on Valentine’s Day that year when she shared wedding photos for the first time. She said at the time that she had “met the love of my life” and that her “heart is full”.
