Kacey Musgraves debuted a cinematic new music video for “Mexico Honey,” one of the fan-favourites from her Middle of Nowhere record.

Kacey, 37, depicted an adventurous, whirlwind romance in the video that premiered this week. The record-breaking, Grammy-winning country star took a karaoke stage to sing her own ballad, which she wrote with Luke Laird and Steph Jones, and went on to share stunning glimpses of Mexico, steamy hotel room scenes, and more. The visual serves as “a tribute to the captivatingly beautiful country of Mexico as it is the passion and experiences that have inspired her there.” It was directed by Running Bear’s Alexa Stone and Stephen Kinigopoulos.

Kacey, who will receive the ACM Spirit Award at the 19th Academy of Country Music Honours next month, released her sixth studio album on May 1. Middle of Nowhere also included the title track, “Dry Spell,” “Loneliest Girl,” “Horses and Divorces” with Miranda Lambert (bringing an end to a years-long feud), “Uncertain, TX” with Willie Nelson, and more. The project follows 2024’s Deeper Well, 2021’s star-crossed, 2018’s Golden Hour, 2015’s Pageant Material and 2013’s Same Trailer Different Park. Next month, Kacey will kick off her headlining “Middle of Nowhere Tour” with Midland, Carter Faith, Flatland Cavalry and Charles Wesley Godwin on select dates.

She's also heading down our way to Longhaul Festival in Australia this January!
