Keith Urban to receive coveted honour at ACMs for the first time since 2010

Keith Urban will receive the Academy of Country Music’s coveted Triple Crown Award at the milestone 60th ACM Awards this week.

Keith earned the honour by winning the Academy of Country Music’s Top New Male Vocalist (2001), Male Vocalist of the Year (2005 and 2006) and Entertainer of the Year (2019) throughout his career.

Chris Stapleton, Megan Moroney and Brothers Osborne will team up to perform Keith's songs as a tribute to the Triple Crown recipient during the show on Thursday evening (May 8).

This will mark the first time an artist has received the Triple Crown honour during the ACM Awards since Carrie Underwood accepted it in 2010. Previous winners in recent years have accepted the award at the ACM Honours, which takes place later in the year in Nashville, Tennessee.

Keith Urban joins a growing list of Triple Crown winners: Lainey Wilson, Chris Stapleton, Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Mickey Gilley, Merle Haggard, Barbara Mandrell, and Underwood.

Reba McEntire is returning to host the ACM Awards for her 18th time, more than any other artist. She’ll take the stage that evening to kick off the show with a 12-minute “Songs of the Decades” performance, along with Clint Black, Dan + Shay, Wynonna Judd, LeAnn Rimes and Sugarland.

The show will also feature performances by Backstreet Boys and Rascal Flatts, Brooks & Dunn and Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll and Shaboozey, plus reigning Entertainer of the Year Lainey Wilson, Blake Shelton, Eric Church, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Chris Stapleton, Clint Black, Cody Johnson, Kelsea Ballerini, LeAnn Rimes, Miranda Lambert, Rascal Flatts, and Wynonna Judd.

Ella Langley and Zach Top joined the star-studded lineup after winning the New Female Artist of the Year and New Male Artist of the Year awards, respectively. The Red Clay Strays won the ACM New Duo or Group of the Year category.
