Country star Jordan Davis is returning to New Zealand this March, and if he had it his way, he’d never leave.

“I would move over there and just play shows if I could,” Jordan told iHeartCountry NZ. "We fell in love with the city. The crowd was amazing… the second we left, we were like, we’ve got to start working on dates to come back."

This time, he’s headlining his own show, and while he’s sad his kids won’t be joining him like they did earlier this year, he’s looking forward to exploring more of the country. "We were staying at an Airbnb that had a pool. The kids were obsessed with just being in the pool all day," he said. “"I'm going to be able to go out and kind of explore and see some more things."

Jordan’s return comes off the back of his new album Learn the Hard Way, and he’s excited to bring fresh music to Kiwi fans. "It feels like the old school way of touring, which is you put a record out and then you go tour it," he said. "I'm excited about playing this new music for you guys."

And yes, he’s ready for whatever New Zealand throws at him. "Y’all don’t make me drink alcohol out of a stranger’s boot," he laughed, comparing us to Aussies. "I would have, if y'all would've asked, I would have!"

Jordan also shared his excitement about the launch of iHeartCountry NZ, and NZ's growing country scene. "I’m grateful y’all wanted me back... and I hope this is just the start of a lot more, not just myself, but a lot more country artists coming to New Zealand."
