Just before their New Zealand show, we caught up with Jordan Davis & Tucker Wetmore, and it’s safe to say they're both already planning their return!
For Jordan Davis, this visit was about more than just another headline show. Back in Aotearoa less than a year after his last visit, he made the most of his downtime by ticking a very Kiwi experience off his bucket list... heading out on the water.
“I finally went fishing,” Jordan said, revealing he and his crew caught plenty of snapper, and even some trevally with the help of a local charter. The catch didn’t go to waste either, ending up cooked for the crew for dinner ahead of their show thanks to some very accommodating catering and hotel staff.
Outside the fishing, Jordan also squeezed in a round of golf, though one shot didn’t quite go to plan... resulting in a broken car window.
More importantly, the return to NZ felt like a full-circle moment. After opening for Luke Combs last year, Jordan loved hearing that many fans discovered him through that tour and had come back to see him headline.
“That’s what we want, to win fans and keep coming back,” he said. “Playing a headline show in New Zealand and Australia is right at the top of the list.”
Jordan also reflected on one of his biggest career moments, winning Song of the Year for Buy Dirt alongside his brother, and admitted that fan-favourite Next Thing You Know almost didn’t get released at all.

We caught up with Tucker Wetmore just after he'd finished his his whirlwind first trip to New Zealand, which exceeded expectations immediately.
“The people are so nice, it’s beautiful, and I’m having way more fun than I probably should be,” Tucker laughed, sharing plans to explore Waiheke Island and indulge in our local wine... before switching to whisky, naturally.
He was genuinely blown away by how loudly Kiwi fans sang along, especially to Sunburn, which had been out for just under a week at the time of the show. Seeing fans on the other side of the world know every word still hasn’t sunk in.
“Five years ago, there’s no chance I would’ve believed this,” he admitted. “Getting to check off bucket-list places like New Zealand by singing songs people somehow already know, it’s crazy.”
Both artists left with a promise that we'd see their return soon.
And don't worry, we’ll hold them to it!
