Ella Langley’s Choosin’ Texas dominates Hot 100 and sets new female Country record!

Ella Langley has made history with her hit single Choosin’ Texas, which has now spent a fourth week at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. This achievement sets a new record for a female country artist, surpassing Taylor Swift’s previous three-week run with We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.

Released in October 2025, Choosin’ Texas was co-written by Ella, Luke Dick, Miranda Lambert, and Joybeth Taylor. Produced alongside Lambert and Ben West, the song blends classic country storytelling with modern pop sensibilities, helping it reach audiences far beyond the genre’s traditional fanbase.

Ella’s Choosin’ Texas didn’t just dominate the Hot 100, it also claimed the top spots on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts, a rare feat for any artist and especially remarkable for a solo female performer.

On top of that, Ella and fellow country star Megan Moroney made history as the first female country duo to simultaneously lead the Hot 100 and Billboard 200, with Ella’s single and Megans’s album Cloud 9 reigning over the charts.

For Ella, a native of Alabama, this marks her first chart-topping single and a defining moment in her career.

With her album Dandelion on the horizon (April 20!), fans eagerly anticipate more hits from the rising star, while Choosin’ Texas continues to solidify her place in country music history.
