Chase Rice shared a heartfelt moment with Taylor Swift when the pop megastar made a surprise appearance in Nashville, Tennessee.

Rice shared a video of himself with Swift on his social media accounts on Wednesday (June 25) and shared why the pair marked a full circle moment together.

The singer wrote Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise,” along with the duo’s Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley, plus Joey Moi and Jesse Rice. Florida Georgia Line released “Cruise” on their 11-track debut studio album, Here’s to the Good Times, in 2012. The following year, Hubbard and Kelley released a remixed version of “Cruise” featuring Nelly. The smash-hit single remains one of Florida Georgia Line’s most iconic anthems, along with “This Is How We Roll,” “Stay,” “H.O.L.Y.,” “Round Here,” “Sippin’ On Fire” and more.

“Cruise” was a hit with Swift right away.

We wrote ‘cruise’ 14 years ago and Taylor tweeted about it, the rest was history. Most likely woulda been a big ole song anyways but her recognizing it sure didn't hurt. Last night I got to thank her all these years later. My music has changed significantly, but it's always fun to honor the roads that go us where we are. Baby you a song...

Rice shared a few clips from his recent reunion with Swift, including a glimpse of the two artists together, a look at his rendition of “Cruise” (with Swift singing along in the crowd), and Swift’s performance of “Shake It Off” with Rice’s guitar. Swift’s surprise appearance took place on Tuesday (June 24) at an event that was part of the Tight End University program, which the singer-songwriter’s boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, co-founded with George Kittle and Greg Olsen in 2021.
