Listen: Carly Pearce shares recording of 9-year-old self yodeling

Carly Pearce was “determined to sound like LeAnn Rimes,” when she was 9 years old.

Carly uncovered a recording of herself yodeling when she was 9 years old, and shared the audio clip on social media this week. She wrote in her caption: “My poor parents had to listen to me learn to do this in my bedroom for months because I was determined to sound like [LeAnn Rimes].”

LeAnn replied in the comments: “awwww, the sweetest! GET IT! ❤️”

Carly, who also posted some throwback photos from some of her earlier years as a performer, will release her new 16-track album next month. Honest Woman includes “Dream Come True,” “Church Girl,” “She Don’t,” “You Can Have Him,” “If I Don’t Leave I’m Gonna Stay” with Riley Green, and more.

Honest Woman arrives on August 28.
