Carly Pearce has shared what it was really like to film a music video with Riley Green.

The two country stars teamed up on If I Don't Leave I'm Gonna Stay, a storytelling duet written by Devin Dawson, Seth Ennis, Jordan Minton and Jordan Reynolds. Carly shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the music video on Instagram.

The clip answers the question, "What was it like shooting this video with Riley?", she wrote in the caption. She said it was a "very serious" song and music video featuring "very unserious people". Riley responded in the comments, "with a little sass".

Carly recently spoke about the story behind the duet during an album listening party in Nashville, Tennessee. One of the songwriters told Carly, "'I think you need a duet with Riley Green,' and I was like, 'I agree.' I do. And I was like, 'well, do you think you could go write one for me?' And he sent me this song one day…and I was like, 'oh, my God, this is it.' And I ended up sending it to Riley, and I said, 'hey, I'm sure you're getting a lot of asks, but I really think you should listen to this song.' And within five minutes, he texted me back and he said 'I'm in.' I was like, 'wow, that was easy.' And then like an hour later, he sent me a voice text of him singing it. I was like 'OK, this is great.' But I've known Riley for a really long time, and I feel like he brought something so special with this song. Today it's just gonna be me, which lets fans down across America every night."

If I Don't Leave I'm Gonna Stay appears on Carly's fifth studio album, Honest Woman, which was released on 28 August. The 16-track album also includes Dream Come True, Church Girl, She Don't, Same Circus, He Don't Like My Dogs and more.

Carly told iHeartCountry: "it's my best album that I've ever made. …What this album represents for me is celebrating wherever you're at in your life.

"I hope they get to know me better," she said. "I feel like I really stretched my songwriting and kind of peeled a layer back on the onion, if you will, and I hope they learn more about me. And I hope that they, at the end of it, really hear my heart."
