Murphy Moore 'Hurting Has a Heart'

Updated

Murphy Moore is back with a heartfelt new release, and it's one which will hit home for anyone who's ever struggled to let go of a love that wasn't quite meant to be.

Hurting Has a Heart sees the rising Kiwi country-pop artist dive into the emotional tug-of-war between what our heads know and what our hearts refuse to accept. Blending vulnerable storytelling with a rich live-band sound, the track captures the bittersweet ache of holding onto hope when love isn't being returned.

I wanted to write about that illogical pull we often feel when we know something is a little off or not quite right, but we hold hope anyway. I think it’s such a universal experience,” Murphy reflects. “There’s something very human about that.

Opening with the poignant line, “How can I love someone who doesn’t want me for forever?”, the song unfolds into a moving country ballad that balances emotional honesty with lyrical wit.
