Southland country duo Kayson Road (Kayla Mahon & Simon Thomson) are back with their second single
This song's sure to strike a chord with anyone who's loved, lost and needed time to heal. Produced at Music South in Invercargill by Aaron Ives, 'Wish for Rain' is a powerful and deeply heartfelt release exploring grief, love and the journey of healing.
Born during a deeply personal songwriting session between Kayla and former full-time Nashville songwriter Andrea Pearson-Cruickshank. Through tears and honest conversation, they crafted a track that captures the rawness of loss while offering a gentle reminder that healing takes time, and that's perfectly okay.
Simon's vocals blend beautifully with Kayla's, resulting in a track which is equal parts strength and vulnerability.
